Objectives of PM Drone Didi Yojana
The main objective of the PM Drone Didi Yojana is to provide drones to women’s self-help groups in order to facilitate the spraying of pesticides on crops. The government has observed that there are certain areas in fields where it is difficult to carry out pesticide spraying manually, resulting in crop damage. However, with the help of drones, it becomes easier to spray pesticides on crops, even in hard-to-reach areas. This ensures that pests and insects do not cause harm to the crops, leading to a bumper harvest. In addition to this, the scheme aims to provide employment opportunities to women in rural areas.
