UPTET Notification 2023: Eligibility, Exam Form, Fees, Syllabus

Many applicants are eagerly waiting for UPTET Notification 2023, which is finally expected to arrive this week. The UPTET examination is a test to evaluate the knowledge and capability of the candidates for the post of Teacher in private as well as government schools. 

The UPTET Exam is organized by Uttar Pradesh Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari and has two types. Type 1 is conducted for the candidates who are planning to become the teachers of classes 1–5. On the other hand, type 2 is for candidates who are planning to become teachers of 6–8 classes. However, the candidates who want to become teachers of classes 1–8 need to appear in both papers of UPTET.

UPTET Notification 2023

UPTET is an acronym for the Uttar Pradesh Eligibility Test, which is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). To be appointed as a teacher for a primary class in a government school, it is a must to have a TET E-Certificate. 

Many students who pursued the D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. are waiting for the release of the UPTET Notification 2023 to get the TET E-Certificate by passing the exam.

The Basic Education Board, UP, has not confirmed the release date for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2023. However, there is a lot of assumption that it might be formally released by November 2023.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2023 in terms of age and qualification are as follows:

Educational Qualification

For Paper 1

  • 12th and 2 years D. El. Ed. (BTC) or 4 years B.El.Ed.

For Paper 2

  • Graduation plus two years of B.Ed., four years of B.El.Ed, or two years of D. El. Ed. (BTC)
  • Intermediate plus four years of BA. B. Ed. or B.Sc.B. Ed.

Important Note: Additionally, one must have a qualified degree for graduation or post-graduation, and the final-year student cannot apply. 

Age Limit 

  • The Age Limit for UPTET is above 18 years and below 35 years.
  • In the case of ST/SC, OBC, or PH there will be a relaxation of 5, 3, and 10 years, respectively

UPTET Application Form 2023

  • The UPTET Application Form 2023 will start on the same day as the notification will be released on its official website
  • The candidates who apply must fill out the form carefully before the last date is over
  • You need to have good preparation for the exam and should be more concentrated after filling out the form as you must score good marks for further selection.

To fill out the form correctly and submit it on time, one must read the instructions given below carefully:

  1. Visit the official website at https://updeled.gov.in/.
  2. Click on the UPTET 2023 Registration section 
  3. Log in using the application number and the password that you created during the registration process.
  4. Enter your educational and personal details carefully and review it once before final submission
  5. Upload the passport-size photo, signature, and other required document in the format and size mentioned on the website
  6. Pay the application fee through the given payment method, and finally submit the form.

UPTET 2023 Exam Pattern

The UPTET Notification 2023 Exam will be held in offline mode, where a total of 150 multiple-choice questions will come for 1 mark each. The duration of the exam will be two and a half hours (150 minutes). Below are the topics that come up in the UPTET exam:

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions
  2. Language I (Hindi): 30 Questions
  3. Language II (English, Urdu, and Sanskrit): 30 Questions
  4. Mathematics: 30 Questions
  5. Environmental Studies: 30 Questions

Paper 2

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions
  2. Languages I: 30 Questions
  3. Language II: 30 Questions
  4. Science and Mathematics (OR) Social Science: 60 Questions (Candidates must choose any one category out of the given options)

Exam Date of UPTET 2023

The Exam Date for UPTET 2023 hasn’t been disclosed yet by Uttar Pradesh Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari. However, it is estimated that the exam form of UPTET notification will be released by November 2023. 

Thereafter, the exam will be conducted in the months of January or February 2024. It will be in offline mode via OMR sheets in two shifts for exam 1 and exam 2, with a duration of 150 minutes. The exam will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for paper 1 and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for paper 2.
